Artisan
teas originate mainly from Fujian, China and are hand-picked
and organically grown. The making of this tea involves
using superior Fu-an Ta-hou white tea which is three-leaves-one-bud
(sliver needle) and dried buds (lily, chrysanthemum, jasmine,
osmanthus, rose, etc) and a process of hand sewing the
ingredients into bundles or rosettes with cotton thread
by artisans in various regions of China.
To steep these artistic teas, place one tea bundle or
rosette in a glass teapot. Allow the tea bundle to unfold
and blossom upon the pouring of hot water. The tea will
be light yellow or light green in colour with a hint of
sweetness. These artisan teas may be steeped up to 3 times.
Not only is it tasty, it is also a pleasure to look at.
